Теории среднего уровня в исследовании религии и медиа: медиатизация, медиация и RSST

Аннотация

В настоящей статье разбираются три основных подхода к исследованию религии и медиа: теория медиатизации, теория медиации и религиозно-социальное формирование технологий (RSST). Цель обзора - сравнить эти стратегии исследования религии и медиа, учитывая связь между генезисом каждого подхода, его концептуальным аппаратом, и способами, и границами его применения. Во-первых, мы рассматриваем, как в каждом из подходов концептуализируется отношение религии и медиа. Так, теория медиатизации выводит на первый план изменения религии под влиянием медиа, теория медиации изучает медиа как часть религиозных практик, а RSST делает акцент на формировании медиатехнологий религиозным сообществом. Во-вторых, авторы указывают, что описанные подходы основываются на различных трактовках религии, которые определяют уровень, на котором рассматривается отношение религии и медиа. Концептуальный аппарат «институциональной традиции» (в рамках теории медиатизации) и RSST лучше приспособлен для исследования институциональных форм религии, другие подходы открыты для изучения как институциональной, так и индивидуально «проживаемой религии». Авторы приходят к выводу, что теоретизация отношения религии и медиа и то, на каком уровне это взаимодействие рассматривается, задают ракурс исследования и способы применения подхода.
