В этом тексте представлены взгляды Дюбуа на религиозное развитие чернокожей общины в Соединенных Штатах и роль христианства и институциональных церквей в этом развитии, а также его интерпретация истории и современного ему состояния религии афроамериканцев с точки зрения его концепции «раздвоенного сознания».</p></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>The first Russian translation of the essay On the Faith of the Fathers, written by William Du Bois, an African American sociologist, historian, and PanAfricanist civil rights activist of the late 19th — early 20th century.
